M60 shut 'for some hours' after man's death
National HighwaysA man has died in an incident on the M60, with a section of the motorway in Greater Manchester expected to be closed for "some hours", police have said.
The road has been shut between junction 10 at Trafford Park and the Eccles interchange at junction 12 since about 09:40 BST.
Drivers have been warned to avoid the area where possible, with police investigation work expected to continue into the evening rush hour.
Diversions are in place to keep traffic moving through the area, and the motorway is currently expected to reopen by 17:30.
Traffic began to build between Eccles and Trafford Park from about 10:30 BST.
Anti-clockwise traffic is being led off the M60 at junction 12 to the M602, National Highways said.
