Police are investigating after a 78-year-old man walking his dog was attacked by four males in Dundee's Stobswell area.

Officers said the assault happened at about 21:20 on Friday 20 March in Langlands Street and the males, who were wearing hooded tops and dark clothing, were seen headed towards Albert Street.

Local area commander Ch Insp Colin Echevarria said extensive inquiries were ongoing.

He said: "We are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to come forward."

Police have appealed for CCTV, dashcam and doorbell camera footage.
