Game developer calls Bafta nomination 'massive honour'
Two Point StudiosA Surrey game developer has called receiving two Bafta Gaming Award nominations a "massive honour".
Two Point Studios, based in Farnham, is listed in the Best British Game and Family categories for its game Two Point Museum.
The studio was previously nominated for Best British Game in 2023 and 2019.
"We're hoping it's going to be third time lucky," design director Ben Huskins said.
Two Point StudiosTwo Point Studios began with a team of eight people in a "tiny little office space in Farnham", founder and studio director Gary Carr said.
It now has a team of about 50 people.
"We haven't tried to blow the company up because we've had some successes; we've wanted to stay a very bijou boutique studio," Carr added.
Other nominees in the Best British Game category include Monument Valley 3 by South London developer Ustwo and Mafia: The Old Country by Brighton developer 2K's Hangar 13.
"The south of England's got some amazing studios," Huskins said.
"So many amazing world-class games have been made in Guildford and the surrounding area.
"Companies like Molecule, Supermassive, Hello Games, Glowmade, ourselves. We all have worked together at some point in our careers, so we look after each other."
The pair said that their current challenge was to keep producing "new, fresh ideas" and surprising its audiences with content "they haven't seen before".
The Bafta Games Awards will be held on 17 April at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
