Major rail disruption expected after fatality

Rail services in Hertfordshire are expected to be disrupted until the end of the day after a person was hit by a train.

British Transport Police said it was called to the railway line in Berkhamstead at 14:55 BST.

The force said a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

London Northwestern Railway warned services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central could be delayed or cancelled until the end of the day.
