Man appears in court charged with rape of male teenager in Paisley
BBCA man has appeared in court charged with the alleged rape of a male teenager in an alleyway in Paisley.
Declyn Haggerty, 29 entered no plea when he appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court earlier. He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Police had cordoned off the area around Meetinghouse Lane following the incident at about 20:15 on Tuesday.
Det Insp David Hardie thanked the public for their "support and assistance" during their inquiries.
Haggerty will appear in court again within the next eight days.
