At just 15 years old Indian batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is racking up scarcely believable numbers in the Indian Premier League. He's now in his second season in the world's biggest franchise tournament, having been drafted by Rajasthan Royals as a thirteen-year-old. He's the youngest player to ever score a century in the competition, and is the youngest player in IPL history after making his debut at 14 years old.
The BBC’s Sophia Hartley is joined by cricket broadcaster Prakash Wakankar and Abhijato Sensarma from ESPNcricinfo to discuss his background, his rise and his incredible talent. Abhijato explains the sacrifices that Sooryavanshi’s father made to help his son reach the top, while Prakash believes it’s inevitable that he’ll beat Sachin Tendulkar’s record of being the youngest man to play for India.
