Forest Green kept up their National League play-off push with a 3-1 home win over Aldershot.

Rovers – with manager Robbie Savage watching on from the stands as he served a touchline ban – took an early lead through a deflected effort from Tate Campbell in the 15th minute.

Tom Knowles added a second in the 28th minute after Chibuzo Nwoko had driven forwards down the flank.

Aldershot, having made a triple substitution at the break, reduced the deficit just after the hour through Charlie Warren's well-taken strike, with Rovers then seeing a late goal from Kyle McAllister ruled out for offside.
