Striker Dan Creaney hurt his former club Solihull as Tamworth made it three straight National League wins with a 1-0 home victory over the Moors.

In an evenly-matched first half, Solihull enjoyed two solid chances to score, with Joe Sbarra's shot bouncing off Joe Rye before hitting the bar while defender Daniel Cox roamed forward to blast just wide before the break.

It was Tamworth who took the lead though, as former Moors man Creaney nodded home Teo Kurtaran's cross when Solihull failed to clear their lines in the 56th minute.

Alex Whitmore and Callum McFarlane combined well to threaten an equaliser with 15 minutes remaining but the latter's finish sailed way over the target.

Creaney came closest to providing another goal as he tested Laurie Walker's diving skills in stoppage time.
