Summary

A transient ridge extends across the United Kingdom early on Sunday morning, providing a brief spell of relatively settled weather. However, low pressure centred near Iceland will quickly drive outbreaks of rain and strengthening winds across the United Kingdom through the day. Strong winds will develop widely, with gales affecting many waters.

  • From Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney
  • Rattray Head to Berwick on Tweed
  • Berwick on Tweed to Whitby
  • Whitby to Gibraltar Point
  • Gibraltar Point to North Foreland
  • North Foreland to Selsey Bill
  • Selsey Bill to Lyme Regis
  • Lyme Regis to Lands End including the Isles of Scilly
  • Lands End to St Davids Head including the Bristol Channel
  • St Davids Head to Great Ormes Head, including St Georges Channel
  • Great Ormes Head to the Mull of Galloway
  • Isle of Man
  • Lough Foyle to Carlingford Lough
  • The Mull of Galloway to Mull of Kintyre including the Firth of Clyde and the North Channel
  • Mull of Kintyre to Ardnamurchan Point
  • The Minch
  • Ardnamurchan Point to Cape Wrath including the Outer Hebrides
  • Shetland Isles
  • For Coastal areas up to 60 nautical miles from Lerwick, Shetland
  • The Channel Islands
