    High groundwater levels are causing flooding. Groundwater levels in the West Dorset area remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Kingston Russell, Winterbourne Abbas, Winterbourne Steepleton, Martinstown, Winterbourne Monkton, Winterbourne Herringston and Winterbourne Came. The groundwater level at the Kingston Russell borehole has fallen to 116.03m. Levels are falling slowly but still remain high. Some rainfall is forecast over the next few days which may cause some response. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems. Properties may experience flooding in cellars in affected areas. Flooding of roads is expected. Roads may be damaged by floodwater. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts.     High groundwater levels are causing flooding. Groundwater levels in the Salisbury Plain area are beginning to fall but remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Tilshead, Orcheston, Shrewton, Berwick St James and Stapleford. The groundwater level at the Tilshead borehole is at 97.32m, and is expected to fall slowly. The forecast is for some rainfall in the next few days which may cause some response in groundwater fed rivers. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems. Properties may experience flooding in cellars in affected areas. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on.     High groundwater levels are causing flooding. Groundwater levels in Salisbury Plain are high but falling slowly. Areas that could be affected include: Winterbourne Gunner, Winterbourne Dauntsey, Winterbourne Earls and Laverstock. The groundwater level at the Clarendon borehole is at 70.32m and remains reactive to further rainfall. High groundwater levels will influence the level of the River Bourne as well, increasing the risk of fluvial flooding. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems. Properties may experience flooding in cellars in affected areas. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on.     Areas affected:Groundwater flooding in West Dean, Singleton, Charlton, East Dean and Chilgrove

    Groundwater is high, very close to the surface, but now falling. Springs will continue to appear, water will be in fields, and groundwater will affect the ability of the sewage network to operate in East Dean, Charlton, Singleton and West Dean. Small amounts of water may still flow down roads, and intermittently appear in a few basements. Only light rain is forecast on Friday afternoon 27/03/2026, with predominantly fine weather over the next 5 days to Tuesday 31/03/2026, although a brief and isolated shower could be possible at times. Groundwater at both Chilgrove and East Dean boreholes is expected to continue to fall. It is probable that groundwater will continue to fall throughout the remainder of spring and summer, although the sewage network may continue to be affected by groundwater until mid April. Take care on roads that flood (Chilgrove, West Dean, Singleton, East Dean). Ensure pumps work. We will update this message by 18:00 on 31/03/2026.

    High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible to low lying land, roads and properties with basements around the following areas: Petham Bourne, Alkham bourne and Nailbourne including Alkham, Temple Ewell, Elham, Barham, Bishopsbourne, Bridge, Patrixbourne and Bekesbourne. Groundwater levels in East Kent rose significantly following significant rainfall during January and early February. The Nailbourne continues to flow along its full course. During March, weather conditions have become noticeably drier and groundwater levels are now generally falling. We are monitoring the situation and continue to liaise closely with our partners who have also been responding. Please avoid walking or driving through flood water and keep up to date with groundwater levels on the 'Check for Flooding' site on gov.uk.     Groundwater levels in the villages surrounding Andover are high but falling very slowly. Cellar flooding is expected to be ongoing in Appleshaw, Hatherden and possibly Penton Grafton. Sewerage system impacts are expected be occurring in Appleshaw and Penton Mewsey. In Penton Grafton, the main road is flooded. Only very small amounts of rain are forecast from Wednesday 25/03/2026 to Sunday 29/03/2026. Groundwater levels are expected to continue slowly falling this week. Flooding impacts will continue into April. We are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are advised to ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Flooding may still be affecting cellars of properties in Nether Wallop and Pitton. Sewerage systems and road flooding impacts may still be occurring in Pitton. From Monday 23/03/2026 to Friday 27/03/2026, only very small amounts of rain are forecast. Groundwater levels will continue to slowly fall. If favourable weather is forecast next week, this Flood Alert will be removed. We are closely monitoring the situation.
