Carly Johns scored a hat-trick against Partick Thistle
Carly Johns grabbed a hat-trick as Heart of Midlothian eased to a comfortable win away to Partick Thistle and closed to within four points of Scottish Women's Premier League leaders Glasgow City.
Two goals in the final minutes of the first half put Hearts in control in Glasgow.
Forward Johns headed in a Jenna Slattery cross from close range after 43 minutes.
And they reversed roles two minutes into first-half stoppage time when midfielder Slattery slotted home from Johns' delivery.
Olivia King pulled one back for the hosts, the midfielder's first goal of the season coming from Rosie Slater's delivery just after the hour mark.
However, Johns fired her second with 20 minutes remaining and completed her hat-trick with another driven finish with three minutes left.
With City having drawn 1-1 away to Celtic, Hearts are now three points clear of the third-top side heading into Sunday's derby at home to fifth-placed reigning champions Hibernian.
