Morecambe swept past Eastleigh at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium to boost their slim National League survival hopes.

The Shrimps – who had started the afternoon second bottom having lost six of last nine league games – took the lead in the 13th minute through a long-range effort from Miguel Azeez.

Morecambe struck twice in the space of three second-half minutes just before the hour to take the game away from Eastleigh.

In the 56th minute, Jack Nolan knocked home a rebound after Paul Lewis' header hit the post and then Lewis Payne slotted in a third before Chris Popov hit a fourth with 12 minutes left.
