  1. Thanks and goodnightpublished at 23:37 GMT 13 March 2021

Well, that's a resounding thumbs up for Westy then!

Here's the report of today's round.

I'm looking forward to another sensational day tomorrow. Florida clocks spring forward by one hour this evening so we'll be live a little earlier tomorrow, from 18:00 GMT.

Thanks for joining us this evening. It promises to be a heck of a finale on Sunday, I'm sure you won't want to miss it...

  2. A rematch in the sunpublished at 23:28 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -13, DeChambeau -11

So, Lee Westwood will go toe-to-toe with Bryson DeChambeau for a second successive tournament on Sunday.

Last week, the big-hitting American got the upper hand with victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

How will tomorrow pan out? Hit the thumbs up for a Westy win. Thumbs down for Bryson...

  3. A word from Westwoodpublished at 23:25 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -13 (F)

"The more I looked at the putt on the 17th, the more break it had. I was a little unlucky the ball didn't come back.

"But I think that putt dropping was justification for the patience I showed. I was hitting some good putts and nothing was dropping but I had some bad reads too.

"I've always tried to had fun but it's easier now. I'll not allow the game of golf to affect me mentally any more.

"It's like the rematch. It'll be fun. I like playing with Bryson, he's a breath of fresh air. I need to go out there and have fun again."

  4. Relive Westwood birdie on 17published at 23:19 GMT 13 March 2021

I think we all need to see that Lee Westwood birdie on 17. Just how big could this be?

  6. Westwood closes with parpublished at 23:16 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -13, Fitzpatrick -8 (F)

What can Lee Westwood do with his effort from off the back of the 18th green? He's out with the putter, nudging up the hill but the ball isn't stop anytime soon. It whizzes five feet past and it's still his turn.

Clutch putt coming back. That's a four-under 68 and another bogey-free round. His seventh at TPC Sawgrass.

What about Matt Fitzpatrick? He's been pretty deadly with the putter today. Not this time. A par finish.

  7. Postpublished at 23:13 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -13, Fitzpatrick -8 (17)

The second shot on the 18th is almost as daunting as the first.

The water is waiting for anything slightly pulled. Lee Westwood goes straight at the pin but his ball drifts ever-so-slightly right, bouncing on the edge of the green and sliding off down a slope.

Matt Fitzpatrick, from the centre of the fairway, is pin-seeking. He's going to have another birdie look.

  8. A word from Brysonpublished at 23:12 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -11 (F)

"Today was the best ball-striking day I've had all week. I'm absolutely happy. It was awesome out there.

"Westy is a fierce competitor and I look forward to the challenge with him again."

  9. Closing bogeypublished at 23:08 GMT 13 March 2021

    Garcia -8 (F)

Up on the green and Sergio Garcia is finishing off with a 10-footer for par and he's not making that either. A bogey to finish and a one-under 71 that gets him to eight under.

Considering he was seven under after round one, he may well be a little frustrated with his progress since then.

  10. Postpublished at 23:06 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -13, Fitzpatrick -8 (17)

This has been another sensational round by Lee Westwood.

He could not buy a birdie on the front nine as he opened with nine straight pars, but his patience has paid off with four birdies on the back nine.

If he can at least par the 18th then he won't have dropped a shot in the last two rounds. Around TPC Sawgrass.

The tee shot is away on 18. Nice and safe, playing away from the water and his ball dribbles into the first cut of rough.

  11. Birdie time on 17published at 23:02 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -13, Fitzpatrick -8 (17)

I've just seen a side-on view of the 17th. The slope from back to front is pretty severe. It's not quite ski jump territory but still, Westy was right to look a little aggrieved that his ball didn't meander back to the hole.

Lee Westwood has a 24-footer for birdie. Most likely, he'll be looking to just put this close. The longest putt he's made today is from a dozen feet.

It's on its way...curling towards the cup, picking up speed. Is this line right? YES IT IS! Birdie time! Massive.

Once the cheers have died down, Matt Fitzpatrick lines up his attempt. Straight in the heart. He's battling well on a day when his form has deserted him.

  12. Westwood takes outright leadpublished at 22:57 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -12, Fitzpatrick -7 (16)

Lee Westwood knocks in his birdie putt to take the outright lead with two holes to play in round three.

And on he strides to the 17th tee. It's a fair walk from the 16th green. Gives you plenty of time to think about the shot ahead.

It's just 121 yards to the hole today. Westwood has found 86% of greens in regulation this week - that's top of the class - he needs to up that percentage right now...

It's almost perfect. In fact Westwood cannot believe his ball has stayed on the slope behind the pin. The key thing is, it's dry.

Matt Fitzpatrick, who had a bogey on the 16th after hitting his second shot into the water, also finds the dancefloor and he's about half the distance away.

  13. Garcia misses birdiepublished at 22:52 GMT 13 March 2021

    Garcia -9 (17)

    Oh Sergio!

    Sergio, Sergio, Sergio!!!!

Perhaps a touch longer than a tap-in on 17 but one you'd expect him to make 99 times out of 100. But the putting demons strike and it's just a par.

  14. How important for Bryson?published at 22:51 GMT 13 March 2021

  15. Postpublished at 22:50 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -11 (15)

Back down the 16th fairway, Lee Westwood is looking to chase his second shot onto the green. How unlucky is that? If his ball lands a yard further forward, he's on the green. But it doesn't. It lands on an upslope and that kills the ball.

Despite being 15 yards short of the green, Westy is out with the flatstick. It's the perfect choice as he knocks his ball pin-high, five feet right. A chance to go into the outright lead...

  16. Garcia delights on 17published at 22:48 GMT 13 March 2021

    Garcia -9 (16)

Back on the 17th and Sergio Garcia has the galleries whooping and hollering with a tee shot that lands softly on the bank six yards past the hole and gravity does the rest.

His ball meanders ever so slowly back towards the hole. He's going to have a tap-in birdie very soon.

  17. Par save from Brysonpublished at 22:47 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -11 (F)

Bryson DeChambeau is chipping on the 18th. That's not great. His ball pulls up a dozen feet short.

He needs this to have a chance of making it into the final group on Sunday. The ball is right on line. Will it make it? The final revolution topples the ball in.

Bryson was urging it in. The fist pumps tell you he knows how important that was.

  18. Postpublished at 22:43 GMT 13 March 2021

    Garcia -9 (16)

Sergio Garcia is just short of the 16th green in two shots but he still can't make the green with his third. He's playing out of the cabbage and his ball lands about a yard short of where he wanted it to and dribbles off to the left.

He looks a little forlorn. A tough ask to make par from there.

A putt from four yards off the green, comes up the hill and trundles four feet past. These are the sort of knee-knockers I've seen him miss before. How's the nerves today Sergio?

    Good enough.

  19. Postpublished at 22:41 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -11 (17)

Bryson DeChambeau can't find the fairway on the 18th but he has got a chance of making the green and tries to chase one up.

As he does after every shot, the American is talking to his ball, egging it on, but it doesn't quite make the green. He's about 100 feet from the hole. Chip and run, or putt?

  20. Ghim finishes wellpublished at 22:36 GMT 13 March 2021

    Ghim -10 (F)

Up on the 18th green Doug Ghim, the surprise package of this third round, is putting the finishing touches to what has been a terrific day for the young American.

He's got a double-breaker of a putt for birdie. The ball stays up. He taps in for par and strolls off to sign for a four-under 68.
