Bim Pepple's goal was his sixth of the season for Plymouth

Skipper Ryan Sweeney earned Mansfield a point against Plymouth at Home Park as both sides extended their unbeaten League One runs to six games.

Bim Pepple had put the Pilgrims ahead in the 20th minute with his third goal in four matches in all competitions, firing in a brilliant shot on the run that gave goalkeeper Liam Roberts no chance as it flew into the corner from outside the box.

Roberts then made an amazing 24th-minute reflex stop to keep out Pepple's volley as he connected with Ronan Curtis' delivery.

Pepple soon crossed for Caleb Watts to volley just wide at the near post as Argyle went in search of a second goal.

Roberts made another spectacular save to deny Watts as he latched on to Matty Sorinola's 33rd-minute cross.

Recalled Argyle keeper Luca Ashby-Hammond, in for the injured Conor Hazard, punched away Oliver Irow's 39th-minute effort as Mansfield countered.

Two minutes later, the Stags levelled as Sweeney swooped to score from close range and while Argyle pressed for a winner in the second half, they found Roberts in top form.
