Changes coming thick and fast now.

Jay Stansfield gets a big reception as Ethan Laird replaces him.

A defensive switch for the home side but hey could soon be forced into another one. Keeper James Beadle is having treatment...

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 86 mins

    Birmingham 2-0 Wrexham

A last throw of the dice for Wrexham as Issa Kabore, his side's best player today, is replaced by Davis Keilor-Dunn.

Just the latter's sixth appearance for the club - during this spell - and all as a substitute.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Birmingham 2-0 Wrexham

Tomoki Iwata leaves the field as Tommy Doyle enters the fray for the hosts.

    Birmingham 2-0 Wrexham

A rare chance for Wrexham to muster pressure but James Beadle comfortably collects from a corner.

That's the Birmingham keeper by the way. And he's still waiting to make a save today.

My first thought was that Wrexham might as well go for it and try and get something out of the game.

But you also have to start thinking about goal difference. You don't want to get another walloping.

Goal difference is tight and it might be a factor.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    Birmingham 2-0 Wrexham

Ibrhaim Osman was hurt as he went in for the ball with Arthur Okonkwo and he duly limps off to be replaced by Demarai Gray.

It's Birmingham still doing the attacking.

Carlos Vicente sears down the right and deliver a superb curling cross that Arthur Okonkwo just about tips away.

He kept his side at 0-0 with a big save before the break but since half-time, the Wrexham keeper has looked less than convincing. Which is a polite way of saying...dodgy.

I think that Wrexham failing to make this year's play-offs is a good thing for the club. They have done really well, but honestly they have massively over achieved this year. They are no where near the standard to make it in the Premier League, so to have another year or two in the Championship and consolidate and level up would be no bad thing.

A frustrating day for Kieffer Moore is over.

He trudges off to be replaced by Sam Smith.

Phil Parkinson showed his frustration with his side's defending from set plays after the Southampton loss on Tuesday night.

    And there's another one.

Birmingham in total command now, and they are well worth their lead.

Wrexham have offered nothing in attack today.

    The captain strikes!

A great moment for Christoph Klarer but an awful one for Wrexham. Seung-ho Paik whips in a corner that Arthur Okonko declines to come for and the Austrian is on hand to stab in at the back post.

Game over? It's going to take something remarkable from Wrexham now.

At least there's someone going in-behind Kieffer Moore now. It was Josh Windass on this occasion, putting pressure on.

Incidentally, if it stays like this, Wrexham will be four points off sixth-placed Hull City with four games each left.

Kieffer Moore definitely has more support up top since the changes but still little attacking impact from the visitors as Callum Doyle overhits a ball forward into the arms of James Beadle.

Attack-minded subs from Phil Parkinson, an indication that he feels this is a game that they need to get points from.

That's an obvious statement, but there's no caution here.

  15. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 65 mins

    Birmingham 1-0 Wrexham

August Priske goes down in the box under pressure from Dan Scarr and the Dane theatrically throws himself to the ground.

The crowd want a penalty but David Webb wasn't fooled and waves play on.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

Sure enough, here come Josh Windass and Nathan Broadhead.

Skipper Matty James and Ollie Rathbone the men hooked.

Half a chance for Jay Stansfield as he fashions some space on the edge of the area but can only whip a powerful shot over.

Looks like Phil Parkinson has seen enough here, there's activity on the Wrexham bench.

First sign of a riposte from Wrexham as Ollie Rathbone has a shot blocked on the edge of the area.

Surely, Josh Windass won't stay seated for long.
