  2. SECOND HALFpublished at 20:47 BST

    Championship

We are starting to get back under way with tonight's Championship action.

Things at Charlton are running late but they will back before you know it for an epic conclusion.

    Charlton 1-1 Ipswich

    Well, that was lively.

Greg Docherty had Charlton in front after only 42 seconds as Ipswich struggled in the opening 15 minutes.

Ivan Azon then shot wide in front of goal before Darnell Furlong's 20-yard shot levelled things nine minutes before the break.

Charlton will be safe with this scoreline with Oxford relegated.

Ipswich need at least one more goal to regain second place.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 BST

    Birmingham 2-1 Preston

Birmingham take a 2-1 lead into the tunnel courtesy of a goal and an assist from Ibrahim Osman.

The winger found Jay Stansfield in front of the net to see Blues open the scoring before finding the net himself after the North End defenders allowed him too much sight in the box.

But the hosts failed to mark Andrew Hughes up the other end to lose their clean sheet.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 BST

    Cardiff 0-0 Port Vale

    Very even.

Port Vale will be relegated from League One unless they can find a goal in the second 45.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 BST

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheff Wed

Boro lead after a terrible mistake from Sheffield Wednesday defender Gabriel Otegbayo.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international sent a loose pass back his keeper and could only watch as Morgan Whittaker took advantage to send it into the net.

The visitors haven't had a shot on target yet but Middlesbrough haven't really blown them away either.

Could there be an upset on the cards?

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 BST

    Sheff Utd 0-3 Blackburn

Blackburn's Japanese duo of Yuki Ohashi and Ryoya Morishita are seeing their side to safety as things stand.

Morishita was the provider for the opener before scoring himself and Ohashi doubled his tally right on the half-time whistle.

Sheffield United may be thinking about the beach.

  10. Postpublished at 20:32 BST

    Birmingham 2-1 Preston

Five minutes added to the clock here.

Doesn't feel like it's going to worry Blues' lead too much at this stage.

  11. Postpublished at 20:32 BST

    Charlton 1-1 Ipswich

We are into seven minutes of stoppage time.

  12. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 0-3 Blackburnpublished at 20:30 BST

    Yuki Ohashi (45 mins)

    This is over.

It is Yuki Ohashi at the double for Rovers as he heads in a cross from Ryan Alebiosu.

Michael O'Neill has come in and saved Blackburn from the drop.

  13. Postpublished at 20:29 BST

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Sheff Weds

Wednesday midfielder Jarvis Thornton becomes impatient and launches a shot from distance but powers it way above the bar.

The Owls have been working themselves into decent positions but they are still yet to have a shot on target.

  14. Postpublished at 20:27 BST

    Charlton 1-1 Ipswich

Charlton continue to force the issue despite conceding that equaliser.

Jayden Fevrier finds the side netting from a narrow angle.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:24 BST

    Charlton 1-1 Ipswich

Macaulay Gillesphey sends Ivan Azon tumbling and into the book of Bobby Madley goes the Charlton man.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:24 BST

    Birmingham 2-1 Preston

Blues' Ibrahim Osman is down on the deck again but this time he's not going to be able to continue.

He departs with a goal and an assist to his name. Not bad for a shortened evening's work.

Demarai Gray comes on in his stead.

  18. 'Cardiff on top but missing edge'published at 20:23 BST

    Cardiff 0-0 Port Vale

    Chris Wathan
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

No goals at Cardiff City Stadium and certainly no sign of Port Vale pulling off the first of a four part mission impossible to avoid the drop from League One..

They've been lively enough but are yet to worry the hosts when it comes to chances, the lack of quality telling.

Cardiff on top - Callum Robinson going closest - but missing that edge.

Unsurprising given promotion's already in the bag.

  19. goal

GOAL Charlton 1-1 Ipswichpublished at 20:22 BST

    Darnell Furlong (36 mins)

Ipswich celebrate Darnell Furlong's equaliserImage source, Shutterstock

His first goal of the season.

Jaden Philogene sprints away to find Azor Matusiwa who sets-up Darnell Furlong to smack home a 20-yarder to level things.

Ipswich still third as we stand, Charlton still safe as well.

  20. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 0-2 Blackburnpublished at 20:18 BST

    Ryoya Morishita (32 mins)

First an assist and now a goal.

Adam Davies denies Ryan Alebiosu and Yuki Ohashi but he cannot keep out Ryoya Morishita who doiubles Rovers' lead.

Glum faces down in Oxford we imagine.

They're down if Blackburn win and Charlton don't lose.
