Hamilton Academical's long-awaited relegation from the SWPL was finally confirmed as they were well beaten in the Lanarkshire Derby at K-Park.

Carla Boyce nodded in the first for Iain Robinson's side, before on-loan Hibs midfielder Milly Boughton added a second before half-time.

There were a few goalline scrambles and Accies keeper Erin Halliday did well to deny a few point-blank chances, as well as tipping over from namesake Keri Halliday.

However, Motherwell would add another two in the second half as Scotland under-23 defender Jenna Penman tapped in from close range, and Boughton curled straight in from a corner.

Motherwell have won all three of their games in the split so far, while Accies remain without a win in the league this season.
