Stefan Mols scored a second-half penalty as Tamworth made it back-to-back wins with a National League victory over struggling Brackley at St James Park to keep their slim play-off hopes alive.
Brackley midfielder Matt Lowe came close to breaking the deadlock twice as he struck a left-footed volley towards goal before flicking another shot goalwards but Lambs goalkeeper Jasbir Singh saved both well.
The visitors took the lead after 65 minutes as Morgan Roberts brought down Mols in the penalty area, allowing the Spanish midfielder to convert from the spot and ultimately win the game for his side.
The result moved Tamworth up a place to 10th and eight points off the last play-off spot with five games remaining, while their opponents remain 21st after an 11-match winless streak, four points from safety.
