OK so let’s take a look at the language used when asking and answering the question ‘Where do you live?’

ఇక్కడ ప్రశ్న ‘where’ అని వేస్తే, వాళ్లు నివసించే ప్రదేశం గురించి అడుగుతున్నామని అర్థం. ‘Live’ అంటే నివాసముండడం. ఇక్కడ 'నువ్వు' లేదా 'మీరు' అని వాడుతున్నాం కాబట్టి ‘do’ ను సహాయక క్రియగా ప్రశ్నార్థకం రూపంలో వాడాలి. సహాయక క్రియ అంటే auxiliary verb.

That’s right. When both speakers answer, they begin with ‘I live in…’, then they provide more detail about the place.
