A horrid moment for Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps - just as the Canadian pair seem to have nailed their reverse lasso lift, he fumbles his catch and she hits the ice.

Stellato-Dudek suffered a concussion ahead of the Games which meant they had to change their routine last minute, and that unfamiliarity looks to be costly.

In the crowd tonight is Ilia Malinin, who will be fully sympathetic about Olympic routines going badly wrong.

Grant Hardie spoke to BBC Sport after GB's defeat against Switzerland: "Loss aside, we were involved in a great game. We had a chance but they took theirs at the end. Great to be involved and it's always great to play those guys. Proud of the way we played too."

Bruce Mouat added: "It was a close effort. On another day, if we had more time we would make the [final] shot and come away with the win.

"I think both teams are playing well, which is exciting. I think if we got an early advantage then we could probably run away with it but it's going to be tough to beat a team like that."

GB wanted so much to win that game, but they've got to take the positives from that. What a fantastic match.

A great game for us to call. Shot after shot was played so well.

The guys still seem quite relaxed. You take the postitives.

And the hammer proves decisive for the Swiss in a nerve-shredding extra end.

They inflict Team GB's second defeat of the competition to exact a measure of revenge for their loss to Team Mouat in last year's world final.

The British rink remain on course for the semi-finals, though. They have won four of their opening six matches, with another couple needed to guarantee a place in the last four and a shot at the medals.

The Swiss are using their timeout here, trying to decide what to do with their penultimate stone... just cranking up the tension another notch.

It's nervy stuff, this. Couple of poor throws by the Swiss early on in this extra end speak to that, but they'll still have the final stone of this match. Will they make the most of it?

Bruce Mouat isn't considered one of the world's best for no reason. Just when his team needed it, the GB skip produces a staggering shot to wipe out three stones and ratchet up the pressure on the Swiss.

They take one, but it's not what they wanted and not what they thought they might get. And now Britain have the hammer going into the final end. Here we go...

It has been a tough couple of weeks for Vaipan-Law and Digby, with his wrist injury plus Vaipan-Law suffering a fall during the throw triple Salchow in the team event.

But here she landed cleanly, and they synchronised their final spin perfectly.

Digby was grinning before they even finished. That was a lovely routine.
