Kyren will be devastated with the scoreline and being 6-3 behind. It's a dream debut for the youngster.

He'll be over the moon with that.

It's a massive last frame, the difference between being three and five behind.

Kyren Wilson would still have believed he could win tonight but this last frame feels vital.

He looks like he is cueing well but he has been outplayed this morning, it is as simple as that.

  3. Wilson takes final frame of morning sessionpublished at 12:55 BST

    Wilson 3-6 Moody

This is a test of Kyren Wilson's cueing and it's on point. 'The Warrior' knocks in a break of 77 to reduce his arrears going into the concluding session this evening.

    Wilson 2-6 Moody

Is adrenaline kicking in? Stan Moody misses a long red with way too much power. It's a little wild and it allows Kyren Wilson to get his arm on the table in a decent spot on the table.

There's plenty to do from here but if the 2024 champion was anywhere near his best you'd fancy him to make a decent break from this.

A massive match incoming that may increase audience figues and interest in China.

Ding Junhui will take on defending champion Zhao Xintong after wrapping up a first-round victory over David Gilbert with a run of 61 in the 15th frame helping him get over the line.

Kyren Wilson was one of the contenders at the start of this but his World Championship depends on him winning this last frame. If Stan Moody continues to play like this tonight, you can't see a comeback.

The first three frames were incredible from Stan Moody but I have been more impressed by how he reacted after it went 3-2.

Steve Davis again "we could be looking at the youngest world champion" - the lad has only won four frames, behave yourself man. He's not gotten past Kyren (and nor will he I suspect)

    Nick, Cheshire

Great to see Stan giving Kyren a game here. That century will give him so much confidence. Come on Stan the man!

    Daniel, Swadlincote

Stan is playing his natural game. Credit to his preparation and the team he has around him. He and Liam are the best home hopes for the future. Kyren has not had his best season. Don't count him out yet!

    Carl, Blackburn

If Kyren Wilson loses in the first round of the World Championship he's going to be in a terrible mood-y.

What a massive frame this is going to be for Kyren Wilson. He is desperate for this to end 6-3 instead of 7-2.

It's a great feeling when you keep getting chnaces like this amongst the balls. It's A,B,C snooker for Stan Moody.

  10. Moody moves further clearpublished at 12:40 BST

    Wilson 2-6 Moody

Kyren Wilson runs out of position off the green and follows it with a loose safety that catches the blue.

It leaves Stan Moody with a mid-range red that he dispatches with ease. He is being given easyish starters and taking full advantage constructing another century break.

This is turning into a potentially decisive lead.

Nice to see Moody when things don't go his way, has that UK thing of looking to the comms box with a wry smile, just focus on the game whilst you are in the zone.

The difference between 5-4, 6-3 or even 7-2 as a deficit could be huge come tonight's second session. It has been a very impressive display from Stan.

It's advantage Stan Moody, not just in the potting stakes but in the safety as well. Worrying signs for Kyren.

  16. Moody extends leadpublished at 12:24 BST

    Wilson 2-5 Moody

Kyren Wilson misjduges a safety and leaves Stan Moody with another decent chance. He has looked in fine touch and rattles through the balls to craft a 55 and pick up another frame.

    Ding 9-5 Gilbert

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at the Crucible

China's Ding Junhui is one frame away from setting up a juicy last-16 tie with compatriot Zhao Xintong, the reigning world champion.

Ding led 7-2 overnight, although David Gilbert pulled one back with a break of 66, only for Ding to restore the five-frame advantage thanks to a run of 66 in frame 11.

Breaks of 79 and 69 saw Gilbert win two in a row, including the 13th frame on the black, but Ding has just reached three figures with a superb 106 in frame 14.

Kyren Wilson may have won two frames but when he misses a long red to the bottom right corner it presents his opponent with an opportunity to make a sizable break.

Bang in the balls, Stan Moody wastes no time in making the frame secure and registering his first century break of the match, with a 110 break.

Stan Moody has a wry smile on his face after leaving himself without a pot after knocking in straight blue. It allows Kyren Wilson an opportunity to take a scrappy fifth frame and he is just one behind.
