Exeter Chiefs faced unbeaten Gloucester-Hartpury last weekend and could not break the reigning Champions’ winning streak. Late tries from Eilidh Sinclair and Claudia Maloney-MacDonald secured a bonus point and cemented the Chiefs’ third-place spot in the table.

This Saturday they welcome Trailfinders to Sandy Park. Exeter Chiefs were triumphant in the reverse fixture which saw them beat Trailfinders 24-12 in round one. The Chiefs dominated the first half, racking up three tries before the whistle. Trailfinders found their feet in the latter stages, but it proved too little too late for the home side.

Trailfinders only sit four points behind Exeter in the table and they will be well-rested after a bye week in the previous round, having also put in a commanding performance against Leicester Tigers in round 12. Trailfinders travel well with one of their most significant away results culminating in a single point loss to three-peat champions Gloucester-Hartpury.
