FT: Wales 1-1 Bosnia-Herzegovina (Bosnia-Herzegovina win 4-2 on penalties)
Well, once again, I'm writing about a qualification campaign that has come down to a defeat, on penalties, on 26 March.
We did this in 2024 and now here we are again in 2026.
The American Dream is over for Craig Bellamy's squad, there will be no World Cup for them this summer and they will feel they perhaps could and should have overcome Bosnia this evening, having hit the woodwork twice and led with moments remaining in normal time.
But football can be cruel, we all know this and for Wales, once again, it's the agony of qualification defeat in Cardiff via a penalty shoot-out.
We will be back on Tuesday as Northern Ireland and Wales compete in a game that I'm certainly not going to call a damp squib, because I'm a professional and most people think it's damp squid, anyway.
Thank you for following along with us for the past six-and-a-bit hours, we appreciate it.
Nos da, good night.
