What a time for William Osula to step up for Newcastle United with the visitors' first shot on target.

The striker's name is being loudly sung by the away end after he fired his side in front.

Osula's composure has previously been questioned, but he showed quick thinking on the floor to hook the ball into the net after Maxence Lacroix got an initial touch on Lewis Miley's cross.

Simon: Said it before... Morgan Rogers is a good player, but he gives the ball away far too much to be a great player.

  10. goal

GOAL - Crystal Palace 0-1 Newcastlepublished at 14:42 BST

    William Osula (43 mins)

Newcastle have been quiet all afternoon but they are the ones to take the lead just before the break.

Maxence Lacroix stretches to get to a Lewis Miley cross from the right but only manages to divert it towards a grateful William Osula who pokes past Dean Henderson.

  11. Postpublished at 14:42 BST

    Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

Suddenly this game has become very stretched.

After Morgan Rogers sees his pass to a through-on-goal Ollie Watkins cut out by Nikola Milenkovic, Forest break and Neco Williams sees another low strike destined for the bottom corner tipped wide by Marco Bizot.

  12. 'Richarlison runs out of legs'published at 14:42 BST

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

Richarlison has worked so hard there but you knew he's going to get caught. And he runs out of legs. He is a player that gives everything at every single moment, but sometimes he just looks a bit weak when it comes to the last moments.

  13. Postpublished at 14:41 BST

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

A draw keeps Spurs in the bottom three by the way.

  14. Postpublished at 14:41 BST

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

Crystal Palace are piling some pressure on Newcastle now.

Tyrick Mitchell, making his 200th Premier League appearance for the club today, floats in a cross which is just beyond the reach of Brennan Johnson.

Daniel Munoz arrives late into the box but Lewis Hall does just about enough to stop the right wing-back from getting a crucial touch in front of the goal.

  15. Postpublished at 14:41 BST

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Good run from Richarlison down the left and then cutting in but he's down at the byeline before screwing a shot into the side-netting.

  16. Postpublished at 14:40 BST

    Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at the City Ground

Vitor Pereira said in Porto on Thursday evening Premier League survival was the priority, saying relegation would be a disaster.

It took a few seconds but the head coach's reaction to the goal showed exactly how important it is, a mixture of relief and joy as he exploded with emotion towards the crowd.

  17. Postpublished at 14:40 BST

    Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

    Dave Edwards
Former Wolves midfielder on 5 Sports Extra

If you shoot, you have a chance of scoring. These home fans have been urging their team to pull the trigger. Neco Williams is the man who decides to. He smashes his shot hard and low. Forest are back in this game.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:39 BST

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs right-back Pedro Porro was booked for dissent just after Micky van de Ven's yellow card so that's three of the Tottenham back four on a first-half yellow card.

  19. Postpublished at 14:39 BST

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Granit Xhaka absolutely skies the Sunderland free-kick from 20 yards out.

  20. Postpublished at 14:38 BST

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

I don't think I agree with the referee on that one. I think van de Ven holds his ground and is too string for Brobbey. A free-kick yes, but is it really a yellow?
