Durham 144-7 - lead Kent by 282 runs

Double bowling change for Kent as they look to prise these final three Durham wickets out.

Joey Evison and Grant Stewart are operating from either with Kasey Aldridge and Ben Raine on 13* apiece.

    Procter c Wells b Singh Dale 13 (Northants 35-4 Target 321)

Luke Procter unshackles and aims an airy drive at a widish delivery from Ajeet Singh Dale only to pick out Luke Wells who takes a good catch at backward point.

    Glamorgan 302 & 164-4 v Yorks 226

Colin Ingram, is warming to his task at Sophia Gardens - he hammers George Hill over mid-on for four and then deftly dabs the next one to third man to rotate the strike. He's just two runs short of a second half-century of the game now.

  4. Surrey aheadpublished at 12:17 BST

    Warwickshire 544 v Surrey 328 & 169-3

An edge through the vacant second slip area from Dan Lawrence sees Surrey move ahead with no further damage this morning and Lawrence drives the next ball for four to add to that lead. So could Surrey even win this game?

It seems unlikely but if they can score at a decent rate from here they might be tempted to get Warwickshire in for a testing final session of the day

Easy, Tongue and Duckett open, Atkinson 3, Root, Brook, Rew, Smith, Foakes (w/k), Stokes, spinner, seamer. Get a real keeper that way too.

    Stephan, Sheffield

Bess has absolutely ripped that one passed Kiran. Given that and Mason's 5-fer, we might need to think of a Caerdydd version of 'Ciderabad' for this season!

    Steve, Luton

    Perhaps Sophiderabad, Steve?

Durham 142-7 - lead Kent by 280 runs

Very handy 24-run stand between Kasey Aldridge and Ben Raine, this.

Kent might wonder if batting is becoming a touch easier, giving them some hope ahead of a potential chase, but it feels very much like all three results are still possible in this game, which is exactly what you want on the final afternoon of a four day match.

  7. Worcestershire trying to steady the shippublished at 12:11 BST

    Derbyshire 625-8 v Worcestershire 312 & 116-3

After losing Ali to the first ball of the day and Lategan soon after Worcestershire are trying to dig in.

Brett D'Oliviera finds some relief with a boundary but his team still have a long way to go to save the game.

They're still 196 behind and will have to bat for most of the day if they're to deny Derbyshire victory.

for Ben Coxpublished at 12:11 BST

    Leics 193-5 - target 481

There was an orthodox sweep for four in Jack Carson's last over and Ben Cox now reverses the shot at the start of a new one to reach his half-century off 82 balls.

Remember, Cox was dropped at slip off Tom Price earlier this morning - it's looking a costly miss at the moment.

  9. Postpublished at 12:11 BST

    Somerset 347 & 2813 v Notts 338

Tom Abell steps back in his crease to crack Liam Patterson-White's shortish delivery away through mid-wicket for four.

The spinner is into his 28th over - bowling unchanged since last night.

The new ball is seven overs away and you feel that will be the one real test for Somerset, who lead by 290 runs already with seven wickets standing.

    Middx 445-9d v Glocs 216 & 134-5

Hat-trick ball and Seb Morgan gets it in the right place, tailing it in late as well, but Graeme van Buuren does enough to keep it out.

Morgan seems to get getting a bit of reverse swing.

  11. Postpublished at 12:08 BST

    Leics 189-5 - target 481

Paul Farbrace has left the commentary box now but you have to wonder whether Sussex skipper Ollie Robinson has some sort of niggle. He's still not brought himself on even though his side have toiled for over an hour without a breakthrough.

  12. No wickets in first hour at Edgbastonpublished at 12:07 BST

    Warwickshire 544 v Surrey 328 & 212-3

They've come close a few times but Warwickshire's bowlers have not managed to find a way through in the first hour.

Jamie Smith and Dan Lawrence have added 43 to the overnight total in 17 overs as Nathan Gilchrist comes into the attack.

It's about time the ECB selectors have a quality backup 'keeper, as they're in danger of repeating old mistakes that they made with Bairstow. Smith struggled in a 5 Test series .vs India last summer and England didn't address this during the Ashes.

    Ricky, Cheltenham

Might just take this opportunity to point out both Jamie Smith and James Rew have batted at three this weekend, with Ollie Pope at four for Surrey. Though Rew's promotion up the order above Tom Lammonby would appear to be a temporary measure.

    Bracey lbw b Morgan 0 (Glocs 134-5)

    Sebastian MorganImage source, Shutterstock

James Bracey gets a first baller and Seb Morgan is on a hat-trick having dismissed Miles Hammond with the last ball of his previous over.

Bracey stands and looks quizzically back at the umpire, not entirely convinced of the angles there with the ball angled down towards leg stump.

But he is gone and Glocs are five down and staring at a mountain.

  15. Postpublished at 12:03 BST

Durham 128-7 - lead Kent by 266 runs

Ben Raine has come out in positive fashion and cracks Keith Dudgeon through mid-wicket for a boundary - just the second Durham have managed in a dozen overs.

Kasey Aldridge has 3* from 14 balls at the other end and the lead is sneaking up.

  16. Postpublished at 12:02 BST

    Northants 33-3 Target 321

Just 10 runs have come for Northants in the last 68 deliveries (including one leg bye) and Nathan McSweeney and Luke Procter are, quite literally, going nowhere.

Sticking around at the crease despite not pushing the score on seems not a bad tactic at the moment though as they wait for the Lancs quicks to tire and the ball to soften.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:01 BST

    Carlson b Bess 53 (Glamorgan 302 & 153-4 v Yorks 226)

    Breakthrough for Yorkshire.

Extravagant turn for Dom Bess and the ball somehow slides off the full face of Kiran Carlson's defensive bat and onto his stumps.

Slightly unlucky exit for Glamorgan's skipper. The lead is 229.

  18. wicket

    Hammond c Cracknell b Morgan 21 (Middx 445-9d v Glocs 216 & 132-4)

Wide and Miles Hammond cannot resist taking a swipe. He gets a toe end on the bat through to Joe Cracknell and Middlesex have a breakthrough.

Everyone saying Jamie Smith should be straight out for Rew hasn't noticed that Smith has a higher average in tests than Rew in FC cricket. Rew will obviously get in the England setup soon but I am not sure Smith is the one to make way

    Fred, Hampshire

Lovely to have the county game back but sorry to not be there in person. Listening to Warks in, for now, sunny Crete.

    Christine, Crete

We all agree it's lovely to be back, Christine, but... Crete or Birmingham in April, Crete or Birmingham in April... it's a tough call.

    Somerset 347 & 263-3 v Notts 338

Pretty sedate going at sunny Taunton as Somerset's Tom-Tom pairing of Abell and Lammonby are patiently guiding the hosts towards a lead of 300. It's 272 at present with 81 overs remaining on the slate.

If Notts are going to have any chance of sneaking a win they need a flurry of wickets promptly. The new ball is 11 overs away.
