Easterday explain say di Ekowe community get a tradition wey dey punish bad behaviour wia e be say any pesin wey dem catch say e thief or rape pesin, dem go carry am go to di 12 compounds and families wey make up di community and each compound go flog di pesin 10 strokes of di cane, making 120 strokes altogeda or di pesin go pay a N20,000 fine.

"So afta di man confess wetin e do di small girl, di youths for di community begin carry am go round di 12 compounds as tradition demand."

She say afta di first two compounds flog am 10 strokes each, di man faint and pesin buy malt give am wey revive am and dem carry am continue to di oda compounds.
