Plymouth Argyle boss Tom Cleverley says he is pleased Owen Oseni is repaying the belief the club have put in him.
The 22-year-old striker scored his first goal for three months in the 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The summer signing from Gateshead has found chances limited in recent times with the form of Lorent Tolaj and Bim Pepple.
But he marked his first start since new year with a late strike as he helped Argyle move up to seventh place in League One, just a point off the play-off places.
"We've got a lot of belief in Owen," Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon.
"He's come a long way, him and Bim, from Chesterfield and Gateshead in the last 12 or 18 months respectively.
"He's suffered from a little lack of confidence about four weeks ago and he's worked hard to get his game back where it needs to be.
"He's felt a lot of love and belief from everyone and I thought he was outstanding.
"He's an on-the-shoulder striker, he's a constant threat in behind, he's a nuisance pressing and he can finish.
"So there's a lot of things to work on with Owen, and sometimes we just need to help him take control of his mind to believe in himself."

Plymouth Argyle are one of League One's in-form sides at the moment
The win was Argyle's fourth in a five-game unbeaten run that has seen them rise from 12th place to seventh in less than a month.
The feat is even more impressive because of injuries suffered by top-scorer Tolaj, defenders Julio Pleguezuelo and Wes Harding, as well as midfielders Brendan Wiredu and Bradley Ibrahim.
"I'm super proud, and so everyone should be of the group," added Cleverley.
"The schedule in League One is tough, but we know what we signed up for and we're not going to cry about it.
"But not very often do you have to go at that schedule with 13 or 14 senior players. You usually attack that with 18 or 20, even if you are starting the same 13 or 14 and you make five subs to manage loads.
"We've not had that luxury throughout this period, so to play as well as we have - but more importantly to work as hard as we have - I'm super proud."
Argyle have a fortnight off as next week's game with Bradford City has been postponed because of international call-ups.
Cleverley says the rest has come at a good time for his squad as they look ahead to hosting third-placed Bolton, managed by former Argyle boss Steven Schumacher, on 3 April.
"We're just right on the balance at the minute where you don't want players to break because we are demanding a hell of a lot, so I think the break is very well timed to be honest," said Cleverley.
"For Bolton we could have six or seven back in that period of time, or certainly five or six back training, and that will be a huge boost to the squad.
"I include the international players coming back into that, so a hugely well-timed break for us now and I think the players deserve a well-earned rest."
