Sheffield United striker Tyrese Campbell has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
The 26-year-old has not featured since going off in the 2-1 defeat at Norwich on 11 March.
The former Stoke City man scored six goals in 34 Championship appearances this season.
"He had a small op and we thought that was best to get him ready for a tough pre-season for 2026-27," boss Chris Wilder told BBC Radio Sheffield.
Meanwhile, Wilder is "hopeful" that Manchester City loanee Kalvin Phillips will be fit to play before the end of the campaign.
The 30-year-old former England international midfielder served a three-match ban for being sent off in the derby win over Sheffield Wednesday on 22 February and has missed the subsequent three games with a knee problem.
