Guernsey FC closed in on a Southern Combination Premier Division playoff place after a 3-2 win at Roffey.
Jacques Cauvin’s long-range strike gave the islanders a 26th-minute lead, but Max Mesquita finished well to make it 1-1 10 minutes later.
Guernsey’s record goalscorer Ross Allen scored one to remember five minutes into the second half as he curled in a long range effort to put the Green Lions in front.
The hosts pushed for an equaliser, but Guernsey goalkeeper Josh Addison was in fine form to keep them out before Sam Murray got what proved to be the winner in the 90th minute.
Murray converted Allen’s cross for his 31st goal of the season, before the hosts made it 3-2 in stoppage time thanks to Josh Neathey’s goal.
The win ensures Guernsey remain in the top four and they could confirm a play-off place with a win over Forest Row on Easter Monday.
