Lincoln City boss Michael Skubala described on-loan striker Alfie Lloyd as "one of us" after he got the first goal of his temporary spell with the Imps.

Lloyd, 22, is on loan from Championship side Queen's Park Rangers and marked his 10th appearance off the bench with the final goal in Lincoln's 3-1 win over Stockport on Saturday.

"He's been outstanding in training, and he's been brilliant for us when he comes on," Skubala told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

"He's a loan player, but he's one of us."

The victory over Dave Challinor's Stockport extended Lincoln's unbeaten record in League One to a club-record 20 matches, and they sit four points clear at the top of the table.

Lloyd, who joined Lincoln in January after the end of a loan spell with fellow third-tier side Leyton Orient, had played a total of 74 minutes in nine substitute appearances prior to Saturday's win against Stockport.

He finally got off the mark for the Imps in stoppage time against the Hatters.

"The lads have wanted that for ages because he comes on and works so hard," Skubala said.

"He's been so eager to get a goal, which you would be as a striker, and it's been great to see."

Lincoln are next in action on Tuesday, away at Huddersfield Town.
