Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has been speaking to the media before Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final against West Ham United at London Stadium (kick-off 16:30 BST).

Listen to Farke's news conference here and below are the key comments:

  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin did not train on Thursday because of a "minor" hamstring problem and Farke said there is "a question mark" over the striker's availability for Sunday's match.

  • On Calvert-Lewin's hopes of World Cup selection with England: "Everything is decided by performances and this is what he has to deliver week in, week out. If he delivers a strong finish to the season, with many good games and hopefully a few goals and assists, he has a chance and it's up to Thomas [Tuchel] to make a decision. It's good that he's so close and he should grab this chance with both hands."

  • On those who did not go away on international duty: "It was important for us to allow them a bit more time off because the last time they had some time off was in November. We allowed them two days off after the Brentford game and they had three days of individual training programmes - some have done that here, but if they wanted to travel for a bit of sun or to see family elsewhere, we have allowed them to do that."

  • Farke said the Premier League is Leeds' "bread and butter" and "the highest priority" but he is a "big believer in the cup competition" and Leeds' first FA Cup quarter-final appearance since 2003 is a "chance to write a bit more history for this club".

  • The Leeds boss said he will select a "strong starting line-up without doing anything stupid", adding: "If you get the feeling someone is a risk because of a physical problem, we won't risk it."

  • Asked what it would mean to secure a first FA Cup semi-final since 1987: "First of all [we would hope for] a better outcome than the last time we were at Wembley, but we know that to take part in a semi-final would be another chapter of history for this club because we haven't been there for such a long time."

  • On entering the "decisive period" of the season, Farke said: "We have seven weeks to concentrate in order achieve our goals. The group is so committed and so together in order to achieve what we want to achieve. We have a chance, with this special and unique group, to write a chapter of history. We would do that if we achieve Premier League survival and progress through to the semi-final."
