Deciding between league survival and cup glory isn't a 'binary choice'

We asked you to tell us whether Premier League status or FA Cup glory is more important to Leeds United fans.

Here are some of your replies:

Pat: Premier League survival, undoubtedly. We've got to follow the money, unfortunately. Besides, even in the highly unlikely possibility that we would win the FA Cup, it would only be fleeting success. We need to be in this for the long haul.

Thomas: It's obvious that Premier League survival is more important than FA Cup success, but there's no reason Leeds can't put out their strongest side possible and try to win the cup. You have squads big enough to cater for these opportunities, so fans would not be very forgiving if it wasn't taken seriously.

Matt: Why are people making out that it's a binary choice? One doesn't have to come at the expense of the other. I want Leeds to try their best in whatever match they are playing between now and the end of the season, let's see what happens from there.

Chris: Premier League survival must be the priority, however the next FA Cup game is a dress rehearsal for the final game of the season which could, although I hope it isn't, be a game of who survives. A win in the FA Cup can do nothing but breed confidence going into the final seven games, so why not both? Winning is a habit and now is a good time to get into that habit.

Michael: There's an argument for both. My long-term belief is that it's better to stay in the Premier League than win the FA Cup. However, if we were to be relegated, we could have so much more fun in the Championship. VAR, inconsistent refereeing, play-acting, time-wasting, negative football and too many defeats or draws only depresses you, whereas victories every week feel so special. I definitely want to stay up, but I can't deny that two trips to Wembley and the opportunity of seeing us score a goal there would be very special and memorable. How about we win the FA Cup and stay up?!
