Tranmere Rovers have appointed Pete Wild as their new manager until the end of the season.
Wild was most recently in charge of fellow League Two club Fleetwood Town until his departure in January.
He replaces Andy Crosby at Prenton Park after he was sacked last week. Tranmere are 19th in League Two, seven points clear of the bottom two but they have lost 11 of their past 12 matches.
Wild will be joined by assistant Adam Temple, while Andy Parkinson resumes his role as first-team coach.
"We're in a tough predicament at the moment but I believe we can make progress and push forwards with the squad we have at the club," Wild told the club's website., external
His first match in charge will be away to old club Fleetwood on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
