Askey sees improvements despite Truro's league position

Truro City have won seven and drawn nine of their 41 games in their first-ever season in the National League

Truro City boss John Askey says he is seeing improvements in his side as they stare at relegation from the National League.
The Tinners drew 0-0 with play-off contenders Boreham Wood on Saturday to extend their unbeaten run to three matches - their best run since the Christmas period.
But Truro are 12 points from safety at the bottom of the National League with five games to play - they could be relegated as soon as Good Friday should results go against them.
But despite their poor form Askey says his side is getting better: "I think we've improved as a team. I think individuals have improved," Askey told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"You can see that one or two are getting fitter, getting used to playing, whereas with players we've brought in one or two have not had many games prior to coming in to us.
"But you can see that they're starting to find their feet; it's just a shame for us, it's too late.
"All we've got to do is keep trying to improve, and if we do that, then hopefully come next season we're going to be better for it."
