This group of amazing artists makes highly enjoyable traditional Tibetan music. Although they have to live and work in exile, in India, they managed to preserve the originality and variety of Tibetan music, celebrating their Buddhist culture. This tremendous effort alone, but on top the wonderful result of their work deseves an international award as this one (and there are not many) to encourage other traditional musicians in the world to celebrate their cultures. This, for me, is true World Music.
