This week in Spirit Academy

Watch a clip from week three

Spirit Academy is my search for the UK's next psychic superstar.

Thousands of hopefuls have been competing for just eight places in the academy. This week the eight very lucky finalists started their course of psychic training under the guidance of little old me.

Studying at my Academy is not going to be easy. I'll be setting tasks of increasing intensity, and as my students' paranormal skills develop, I'll be eliminating them one by one, leaving a single outright winner.

This week you saw the very start of term, where my new clutch of undergraduates arrived and found just what they've let themselves in for. Spirit Academy is a derelict mental asylum, and believe you me, it's teeming with psychic activity. There's one spirit in particular what died in very gruesome circumstances, and I'm looking forward to putting my students in touch with him at a later date.

For now, though, it's warming up. I've been laying some ground rules - no violence on camera, and no tittle-tattle with me off camera - and I've been helping each student find their spirit guide. You also saw my apprentices at mealtimes, where they only get to eat a meal if they can tune in and predict what's on the menu.

Next week, things heat up even more with the first elimination...
