This week in Spirit Academy

Watch a clip from week two

Spirit Academy is my search for the UK's next psychic superstar.

Thousands of hopefuls have been competing for just eight places in the academy. The successful candidates will be enrolled in an intensive six week-long course of psychic training under the guidance of yours truly.

Life at my Academy is not going to be easy. As their paranormal skills develop, I’ll be eliminating my eight apprentices one by one, leaving a single outright winner.

In week one, I conducted a series of simple tests to remove the flotsam and jetsam – and believe me, there was a lot of it - from the competition. Just because I make talking with the spirits look easy doesn’t mean it is, as the many inferior contestants found out.

For the second round this week, I upped the ante and asked contestants to channel the spirits of dead celebrities, with the help of an object what once belonged to them.

I also enlisted advice from the starts to help me decide who should get through to the Academy. Joining me in spirit form on the judging panel was Jimi Hendrix and Lady Di.
