A celebration of her life
We celebrate the achievements of one of our greatest arts pioneers, Lilian Baylis. The Royal Ballet, English National Opera and the Old Vic all owe their existence to her - as does Sadler's Wells.
Seventy five years after the theatre opened, Woman's Hour looks back at the life of this remarkable woman. Martha is joined by Professor Liz Schafer, Royal Holloway College and Sarah Lenton, former archivist at the ENO.
