What went on
We were looking for brilliant new comedians to take to the BBC 7 airwaves.
The judges began by sorting through over 700 applications, where they shortlisted 50 entrants. Those 50 were invited to a workshop where they were given advice and access to industry professionals to improve their skills.
From there, 50 became 10, as the finalists were chosen. All ten finalists were then helped to recorded their own 15 minute comedy show for radio.
Here you can watch a video of the workshops and the finalists recording their sketches.
What were we looking for

We were looking for people currently performing their own material on stage, on student radio, on the web, or just in their own bedroom.
So long as they had no more than three years experience on the comedy circuit and they'd not had their own show broadcast nationally on radio or TV, this could've been the chance to get a four part comedy series on BBC 7.
