| Do
you have a story to tell? |
Inside
Lives is a brand new project designed to get you more involved with
the BBC here in Lincolnshire, both on air and online.
We
know everyone has an exciting, moving or fascinating story they
can tell about themselves or their lives, just waiting to be heard.
We want to bring these stories to light.
Your
story can be about anything important to you - your love of cycling,
your best holiday ever, a funny moment from your childhood, the
day you got married, overcoming a challenge, an event that changed
your life, anything!
We
want to help you script, record and edit your story- it may even
get played on the radio. It's your chance to tell your story your
way! You're in charge!
How
does it work? We
will be holding storytelling circles right across Lincolnshire in
the coming months. They'll be in a variety of locations including
pubs, community centres, or on board the BBC bus. At these sessions,
you'll meet the other participants and take part in some fun exercises
and games to get everyone comfortable with sharing ideas and getting
advice. This usually takes about three hours.
After
the storytelling circle, you'll have a day or two to write your
story at home. Then, there's an individual session where you put
the finishing touches to your story, record you reading it, and
use a computer to edit the sound. We have experts on hand to help
with both writing skills and the use of the computer editing software,
so don't be put off if you're not familiar with using a PC. These
sessions last between one and two hours and usually take place on
board the BBC bus which will come to a convenient location.
It
all ends with a get together of everyone who took part, where we
listen to all the stories together.
What
does it cost?
Its absolutely free!
