Aisha
formed around 18 months ago from the ashes of the legendary
Fides. Tom and Nick have known each other a long time (roughly
17 years), and they recruited Will to play the phat end of
Aishas sound.
Tom
bangs the drums and Nick and Will take it in turns to play
guitar/bass and sing, yep, multitalented!
Nick
and Will write all the songs - quite a few of these songs
get scrapped or forgotten. Below, are a couple of samples
of Aishas work, from their last studio visit. Aisha
also enjoy occasionally covering songs that they like, previously
playing Untitled Interpol, Old Age
Nirvana and Mexicola Queens of the Stone Age.
Aisha
play Stroud-Gypsy-Jazz-Grunge (it has been pointed out that
this is a bit similar to Japanese-Electro-Punk), and are based
in Stroud. The band listens to quite a range of music, including
the Pixies, Interpol, Queens of the Stone Age, Pavement, etc.
- and Aisha are a mix of those sounds.
Aisha
have played quite a few gigs around the Gloucester-Cheltenham
area, at the Sub Rooms in Stroud, The Welsh Harp, The Two
Pigs and various other places and are looking to play more
gigs further afield, in Bristol, London, America, etc.
