This photograph, also entitled 'A Pond at Weston Green', was exhibited at the prestigious Paris Salon exhibition of 1899. George Davison was a noted pictorial photographer and a founder member of the 'Linked Ring Brotherhood', a group formed to promote photography as a serious art form. He was also the managing director of the photographic company Kodak.
