Title:
Durham
riverbanks
Phil has been a Geology PhD student in
Durham for the past four years.
One of his favourite places is down by
the river. It's very peaceful and picturesque and there's lots to see.
Phil's only regret is that he's now leaving
Durham and that he didn't discover the riverbanks sooner.

I couldn't agree more with Phil - the Durham riverbanks are superb. So close
to the busy city life yet so peaceful. I always enjoy a visit down to the
riverbanks when I'm back home in the North East.

I was just visiting a friend in the Newcastle area a few weeks ago. We spent
an afternoon in Durham visiting the cathedral. We walked across one of the
bridges and enjoyed the beautiful view of the river with the cathedral in
the background. It was splendid. It is one of my fondest memories of my
holiday.
