costume
Not
surprisingly it is a hugely ambitious stage project to undertake.
The
show boasts a large cast comprising of officers and crew, first,
second and third class passengers and a remarkable set that encompasses
all the dramas of this fateful maiden voyage.
The
performance at Gordon Craig follows the show's launch in York, where
it was well received.
"Titanic
works"
Sheridan
Morley, of the Spectator wrote: "The greatest American musical
to have been written in 15 years. A triumph. A score which soars,
a masterpiece."
While
Charles Spencer in the Daily Telegraph said:
"Against all odds, Titanic works. You leave this huge, ambitious
production feeling something approaching awe."
The
Stevenage production will be accompanied by a special exhibition,
which visitors can see now at the Lytton Way theatre.
It
includes such "must-see" exhibits as costumes worn by
Leonardo Di Caprio in the multi-Oscar winning film Titanic, plus
genuine artifacts from the ill-fated ship itself.
