INFO
Watford
have played at Vicarage Road since the 1920's when they moved
from their previous ground, Cassio Road. There are four stands,
The Vicarage Road End, The Rookery Stand, The Sir Stanley
Rous Stand and the Main Stand. Vicarage Road is now an all
seater stadium, holding approximately 22,500 fans. The building
of the Rookery and Vicarage Road stands and the seating in
the Lower Rous stand were financed by the sales of Paul Furlong
to Chelsea for £2.3million and Bruce Dyer to Crystal Palace
for £1.25million - at the time the highest fee paid for a
teenager in Britain.
