Eight dead in Dehiwala blast

Eight people were killed in a bomb explosion inside a train near Dehiwala railway station, authorities said.
Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara, in a recorded message, said five passengers were killed and many more injured in the blast. According to Defence Ministry, the explosion occurred inside the Colombo-Panadura train while reaching Dehiwala station. |
