The Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka have announced that one of their senior commanders, known as Brigadier Balraj, has died
of a heart attack.
He was described as a man who had participated in many major confrontations with the army in the long war in the north of the island. The Tigers have announced three days of mourning in his honour. |
