Provoked seems to have overtaken director Suneel Darshan's Shakalaka Boom Boom during it's first Easter weekend release according to the UK box office figures.

Based on a real life story in the UK and with Aishwarya Rai in the lead role, Provoked debuted at number 11 in the UK charts, collecting £123,678 on 35 screens.

Meanwhile, Shakalaka Boom Boom came in at number 17 by collecting £78,552 on 40 screens.
