Haha! Just to think, when I was at primary school in Sutton, me and Carl used to play "motorbikes" making noises and pretending to ride! I thought he was a bit mental, but sounds like he's done rather well for himself! Good stuff

kevin fulton
I think that hawkstone is great!! I travel over 300 miles to get to hawkstone and that isnt including the trip home!! It is well worth the day trip!!

Hawkstone was amazing, its so sad to leave at the end of the day, I think everyone just wants more and more. As for the people that want the evnt stopped then I suggest you get a life. Motocross is part of hawkstone, so deal with it, plus it's 1 weekend every year!.... I think motocross need promoting, all we see is football, football, football.... lets get more extreme sports on the TV so we can realise that Britian really has got some extremly talented athletes as well as the football players with their ballet shoes or are they football boots...anyway peace out Long live Hawkstone

jonny
people who complain about motocross and all the supposed problems its meant to cause like noise, pollution, traffic, litter..etc you would see these complainers going to football matches, singing on the trains, driving cars there and back causing traffic aswell as pollution, they sing and shout all day(nothing worse than bunch of 20-40year olds lookin like power-rangers in their ''replica'' tops singin crap songs about football) its time to give proper skilled sports support and not just promote a ball being kicked about, because thats just boring everyone these days.

Bob Summerford
Wow, ive never seen motocross before, but your report was great and really gave an insight into what this spor is like....Brilliant report, why not have some more motocross on T.V etc?

Chris Czora
Another superb event, brilliant racing and superbly organised, a great way to celebrate 60 years of motocross racing at Hakwstone. Yet again Hawkstone International has proved to be the probably the largest spectator sporting event in Shropshire. The selfish people who complain about the traffic and want the events stopped should appreciate the great history of this circuit, and what a superb family sport motocross is. Shropshire is very fortunate to have such a world-famous venue, and full credit to the BBC for giving it the coverage it deserves! Long may the International continue!

Paul Harris
Another great event - the International is always a wonderful season-opener, and it was a special (if sad) moment when two legends like Everts and Smets took their final lap of honour.

Mike Arthur
Thanks for the extensive photos and reportage. As perhaps the largest outdoor spectator event in the county, it is right that Radio Shropshire give it due coverage.

angela kester
excellent.the best days motox i have ever seen it was a dream come true seeing all the worlds top riders.i even got josh coppins autograph!so thanks josh you made an old lady very happy.

nigel brindley
A brilliant days motor cross, great track and world class riders. English weather and mud made the day. Shame about the delays getting in and getting out. But roll on the next meeting. How about more coverage on BBC news like tonight, if people tried this sport they would enjoy it and the sport would grow!!!! Fantastic

Dave Hughes
Superb. Good to see such fit and decent young men in a "clean" spectacular and tremendously popular sport

Vicki Burley
A brilliant day with some real weather extremes! It is a shame that the PA system let down the comentators but the additional entertainment was fantastic.
