From Friday 21 October, as a pre-event to the now regular Subterfuge nights, the Buttermarket will be hosting ‘Life’, a 16+ event with a live band, DJs and VJs supplying the ear and eye candy. Running from 7pm until 10.30pm (when the 18+ Subterfuge takes over), Life will this week feature a live set from local funksters Hey Edison, fresh from last month’s triumphant Subterfuge show, along with the best indie/alternative tunes and a licensed bar for those with photo ID. Formed at New College in Wellington in 2004, Hey Edison have built up a strong local fan base thanks to their frequent gigs and professional sound. Their groovy style translates into an energetic live set and they recently made it to the final of Telford’s Battle of the Bands competition. Tickets are £4 in advance or £5 on the door (£3 NUS).
